CAAC Launches 'Work Safety Month' Campaign
June this year marks the 25th National Work Safety Month, themed 'Everyone Values Safety, Everyone Can Handle Emergencies.' CAAC has issued a notice deploying the campaign across the civil aviation industry.
This June is the 25th national 'Work Safety Month', themed 'Everyone talks about safety, everyone can respond to emergencies — investigate and rectify risks and hidden hazards'. A few days ago, CAAC issued a notice deploying the launch of the national civil aviation 'Work Safety Month' activities across the entire industry in June.
According to the notice, the overall approach of this year's national civil aviation 'Work Safety Month' activities is to take General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on work safety and the spirit of his important instructions and directives on civil aviation safety work as the fundamental guideline, resolutely implement the holistic approach to national security, thoroughly implement the major decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, establish and practice a correct view of performance, further firmly establish the concept of safe development, uphold the primacy of life and safety first, closely focus on the theme of 'Everyone talks about safety, everyone can respond to emergencies — investigate and rectify risks and hidden hazards', take into account the realities of civil aviation, and organize a series of activities such as learning and publicity, education and training, emergency drills and advisory services through online and offline forms, solidly and effectively carry out graded management and control of safety risks and the investigation and rectification of hidden hazards, push industry practitioners to further strengthen their awareness of safety, risk and red lines, strictly implement work safety responsibilities, strictly execute regulations and standards, enhance their willingness and ability to identify and solve problems, continuously consolidate the safety foundation, strive to build a higher level of aviation safety, and better safeguard and support the industry's high-quality development.
This year's national civil aviation 'Work Safety Month' activities include five main aspects. First, deeply study, widely publicize and resolutely implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on work safety and the spirit of his important instructions and directives on civil aviation safety work, effectively align practitioners' thinking and actions with the rich connotations and practical requirements contained therein, and turn the results of study into correct approaches for scientifically planning civil aviation safety work, pragmatic measures for solving shortcomings, and real achievements in preventing and defusing major safety risks. Second, deeply carry out actions for graded risk management and control and hidden hazard investigation and rectification, conduct in-depth graded management and control as well as investigation and rectification of common safety risks and hidden hazards throughout the entire process of civil aviation safety production, passengers' air travel and the areas around airports, improve the internal reporting and reward mechanisms for hidden safety hazards of production and business entities, and organize digital simulations, live-action drills and comprehensive exercises focusing on risk management and control, hazard identification, emergency response, and escape and risk avoidance. Third, organize various forms of 'Safety Publicity and Consultation Day' activities through safety oaths, commitments and pledges, themed display boards, knowledge handbooks, interactive experiences, themed push notifications, displays of emergency equipment and safety promotional videos, mobilize safety experts and various advanced safety workers in the region and unit to carry out concentrated safety lectures, with publicity and consultation focusing on practitioners and the public. Fourth, deeply carry out safety publicity and education work, implement the spirit related to the 'five entries', and, taking into account industry realities, promote safety publicity and education into enterprises, institutions, work teams, terminal buildings and office buildings, and continue to organize civil aviation safety lecture teams to go to front-line units to carry out in-depth safety warning education lectures. Fifth, continuously and deeply promote the development of civil aviation safety culture, earnestly implement CAAC's 'Opinions on Strengthening the Development of Civil Aviation Safety Culture in the New Era' and 'Management Measures for the Development of Civil Aviation Safety Culture', further cultivate and practice civil aviation safety culture, and continuously strengthen the safety values of the primacy of life, safety first, compliance with rules and fulfillment of duties, and the pursuit of strictness and pragmatism.
CAAC requires all departments and units to attach great importance to the activities, closely combine them with the study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance, strengthen organizational leadership, intensify publicity, coordinate the advancement of tasks, and ensure the effectiveness of the activities.
