On July 29, the expert seminar of the Eighth Hunan Tourism Development Conference was held in Zhuzhou. Wang Jianqiu, Secretary of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee, He Enguang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, Shang Bin, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Liao Jian and Yan Changwen, Party Leadership Group Members and Deputy Directors of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Zhuzhou municipal leaders Jiang Xiaozhong and Jiang Xianghui attended.
The Eighth Hunan Tourism Development Conference is planned to be held in Zhuzhou in the first half of 2027, and the preparatory work is currently proceeding in an orderly manner.
Before the meeting, the expert group visited places including the Hunan International Circuit and the Qingshuitang 1956 Cultural and Creative Park. At the meeting, the Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports reported on the relevant situation in Zhuzhou; the five urban districts conducted 'roadshows' for 11 cultural tourism projects; and experts, scholars and heads of relevant provincial enterprises offered suggestions and advice on hosting the tourism development conference well, creating cultural tourism IPs, building and operating key cultural tourism projects, innovating cultural tourism business forms, and polishing the city brand.
The meeting stated that it will earnestly implement the deployment requirements of the provincial Party committee and provincial government, regard the preparation of the tourism development conference as an important current task, adhere to long-termism, and promote the high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry persistently and with perseverance, striving to achieve 'host one conference, revitalize one city, and prosper one region's industries'. It is hoped that experts and entrepreneurs will give play to their own advantages, continue to pay attention to and support Zhuzhou, further deepen pragmatic cooperation, and achieve joint progress and win-win cooperation. Zhuzhou will take hosting the tourism development conference as an opportunity to accelerate the upgrading of the cultural tourism industry, shape the city IP, enhance the city image, and attract and gather more young people to innovate and start businesses.
