Hunan Holds Review Meeting for the 15th Five-Year Culture and Tourism Development Plan
On August 28, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism held a review meeting for the Hunan 15th Five-Year Culture and Tourism Development Plan.
On the morning of August 28, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized a review meeting for the "Hunan Province '15th Five-Year Plan' Culture and Tourism Development Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). Li Aiwu, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee (concurrently) and Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the meeting; Wang Peng, second-level inspector of the department, chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, the planning unit gave a comprehensive and systematic report on the planning results, covering the background of the Plan's formulation, the overall approach, development goals, key tasks, spatial layout, safeguard measures, and distinctive highlights. Nine experts from units including the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Hunan Normal University, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Hunan University of Finance and Economics, and Hunan Daily carefully reviewed the planning text and, after full discussion, unanimously agreed that the Plan passed the review.
The meeting noted that the formulation of the "Hunan Province '15th Five-Year Plan' Culture and Tourism Development Plan" has achieved phased results. Next, it is necessary to maintain high standards and strict requirements, earnestly incorporate the opinions of experts, provincial departments, and cities and prefectures, carefully polish the planning text, further optimize the content, verify indicators, and enrich projects to ensure the Plan is implementable and evaluable; to strictly standardize the approval process for the Plan, improve supporting implementation plans, and strengthen the monitoring and evaluation mechanism and the safeguards for key elements; and to deepen the publicity and interpretation of the Plan, strengthen its authority and rigid constraints, and, in accordance with the overall requirement that "funds follow projects and projects follow the Plan," give priority to arranging funds to support the key development tasks set out in the Plan.
Responsible officials of relevant provincial departments and relevant provincial-administered enterprises, as well as responsible officials of the department's various offices, the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, and the culture, tourism, radio, television and (sports) bureaus of various cities and prefectures, attended the meeting.
