China Tourism Day Shaanxi Sub-Venue Event Held in Yan'an
On May 19, Shaanxi's 2026 China Tourism Day themed event and the 'Travel Shaanxi, Courtesy First' civilized-tourism launch ceremony were held in Yan'an.
On May 19, the 2026 'May 19 China Tourism Day' themed day of Shaanxi Province and the launch ceremony of the 'Tour the Three Qin, Etiquette First' civilized tourism activity were held in Yan'an. Sheng Yijun, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Chen Peng, Director of the Propaganda and Education Department of the Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi Workers' Movement College; and Yang Honglan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yan'an Municipal Party Committee, Director of the Propaganda Department, and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Government, and others attended the event.
This event was co-hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Yan'an Municipal Government. Closely following the theme of 'May 19 China Tourism Day,' 'Enjoy Quality Tourism, Journey Together to Beautiful Landscapes,' with 'Three Qin Four Seasons, Joyful Travel and Song' as the provincial theme, the event focused on the seven major culture and tourism scenarios of 'food, accommodation, transportation, touring, shopping, entertainment, and learning,' and presented the new look of the Three Qin culture and tourism in an all-round manner through diverse forms such as policy releases, route promotions, civilized advocacy, red experiences, and exhibitions and sales.
At the event site, the 2026 Shaanxi Province 'May 19 China Tourism Day' series of culture and tourism benefits measures were released: a benefits package running through the summer vacation was launched, and discounts at scenic areas along newly opened high-speed rail lines were introduced; tens of millions of yuan worth of culture and tourism consumption coupons were released, and travel and consumption benefits were distributed in conjunction with government-enterprise and financial platforms; more than 50 scenic areas, hotels, and homestays across the province offered discounts; and activities such as culture-benefiting performances, Qinqiang opera performances, and hanfu experience were carried out simultaneously.
In order to cultivate a new trend of civilized tourism, frontline workers such as airport ground staff, high-speed rail attendants, tour bus drivers, tour guides, red commentators, scenic area management personnel, hotel butlers, homestay hosts, taxi drivers, and medical personnel, together with tourist representatives, jointly launched a civilized tourism initiative at the event site, polishing the name card of Three Qin tourism with the foundational tone of civilization and telling the story of Shaanxi culture and tourism well.
As the Shaanxi sub-venue of the 2026 'May 19 China Tourism Day,' Yan'an released six weekend tourism themed routes on site. The routes connect red classic scenic areas, natural ecological landscapes, northern Shaanxi folk customs, and rural leisure business forms, creating travel products with distinct themes and diverse experiences, and providing high-quality travel guidance for surrounding tourists to tour Yan'an.
At the event site, exhibition areas such as a plaza display and intangible cultural heritage and cultural and creative experiences were also set up, showcasing Yan'an's intangible cultural heritage skills, cultural and creative products, and characteristic culture and tourism resources in a concentrated manner, allowing citizens and tourists to feel the charm of culture and tourism up close and experience the fruits of culture and tourism development in an immersive way.
