China-Uzbekistan Tourism Cooperation Forum Held in Xi'an
The China-Uzbekistan Tourism Cooperation Forum was recently held in Xi'an, with about 200 representatives from government, enterprises and associations attending.
The China-Uzbekistan Tourism Cooperation Forum was recently held in Xi'an, Shaanxi. The forum aimed to build a platform for cooperation and exchange for the industries of the two countries. About 200 representatives from the culture and tourism administrative departments, culture and tourism enterprises, and tourism associations of China and Uzbekistan attended the forum.
Dai Binbin, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, said that Shaanxi will make full use of the convenience of mutual visa exemption and direct flights between the two countries, jointly create distinctive products and cross-border premium routes, promote the mutual exchange of tourist sources, market sharing, and complementary advantages, build a new benchmark for China-Uzbekistan tourism cooperation, and contribute culture and tourism strength to building a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future.
Akulov Abdullaziz, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, said that over the past two years the number of Chinese tourists visiting Uzbekistan has increased sevenfold, that the culture and tourism industries of the two countries have cooperated closely, and that Uzbekistan is actively developing more routes and products suited to Chinese tourists, expecting the number of Chinese visitors to Uzbekistan to reach 1 million by 2027.
At the forum, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Qinghai Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Shaanxi Tourism Group, and Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. each made presentations, expressing their willingness to deepen cooperation with Uzbekistan. The tourism departments of Tashkent Region and Bukhara Region of Uzbekistan, as well as several resorts and tourism complexes, also made enthusiastic presentations, hoping to use the forum to expand Uzbekistan's brand influence in China and attract more Chinese tourists to visit.
This event was hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and co-organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
