Guizhou Releases Four Themed Summer Cool-Weather Tourism Products
On June 5, Guizhou released its 2026 summer cool-weather tourism products, promoting new 'Reside in Guizhou' products and encouraging deeper travel.
On June 5, the Information Office of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government held a press conference in Guiyang, officially launching 2026 summer cool-weather tourism products and highlighting new products, new business forms and new scenarios for “Sojourn in Guizhou,” sincerely inviting tourists to shift from “check-in” tourism to in-depth tourism.
Guizhou has an average altitude of 1,100 meters, a forest coverage rate of 63.3 percent, an average summer temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, and a proportion of days with good or excellent air quality in its central cities exceeding 98 percent. Drawing on its cool climate, mountain and water resources and colorful cultural advantages, Guizhou is launching four themed cool-weather products for this summer — “Enjoy the Coolness of Painted Landscapes,” “Enjoy the Surging Power of Performing Arts,” “Enjoy the Passion of Outdoor Sports” and “A More Colorful Sojourn Life.” Tourists can experience up close the cool mist of Huangguoshu Waterfall and the jade-green waves of Libo Xiaoqikong; or take part in regular roadside concerts and visit the Guizhou Long March Culture Digital Art Museum; and they can also immerse themselves in Miao villages and Dong townships and stroll through city streets and alleys to enjoy a diverse sojourn life.
Guizhou is making “sojourn” its core focus this summer. It has compiled the “Guizhou Sojourn Map,” launching 26 representative urban sojourn projects and more than 140 representative rural sojourn projects, and marking more than 70 key sojourn sites and more than 200 related supporting facilities. High-quality sojourn destinations such as Baizhuang Qiantao in Huaxi, Guiyang, the Jiuba health and wellness town in Tongzi, Zunyi, and Banshan Qingyuntai in Panzhou, Liupanshui, have taken initial shape and can offer “move-in ready” accommodation and 15-minute life-circle amenities. Guizhou will also release the “Guizhou Sojourn Destination Service and Operation Guidelines” and the “Basic Standards for the Service and Operation of Guizhou Sojourn Destinations,” and launch financial products such as “Guiyin Sojourn Pass,” promoting the sojourn industry to achieve a unity of “selling products, selling services, selling a lifestyle and selling emotional value.”
It is learned that cities and prefectures such as Guiyang, Zunyi, Anshun, Bijie and Qiandongnan will, in light of their regional characteristics, launch differentiated and distinctive sojourn products, forming a whole-area, interconnected and individually distinctive cool-weather sojourn industry pattern.
