Yunnan Launches 3 G219 Themed Tourism Routes

At the 7th annual meeting of the China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance in Kokdala, Yunnan launched 3 G219 themed routes covering ecological, cross-border and ethnic themes.

Recently, the 7th Annual Meeting of the China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance was held in Kokdala City, the Fourth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. At the meeting, Yunnan Province launched three G219-themed tourism routes: the Ecological Vertical Gradient Tourism Route, the Cross-Border Civilization Integration Tourism Route and the Ethnic Original-Ecology Corridor Tourism Route.

The routes launched this time have itineraries lasting from 7 to 10 days and are supported by well-developed services such as self-driving camps, viewing platforms, distinctive homestays and folk custom experiences, meeting needs such as high-end self-driving, cultural experiences and family trips. Among them, the Ecological Vertical Gradient Tourism Route ranges from the tropical rainforest of Xishuangbanna all the way up to the glacier area of Meili Snow Mountain, passing through six climate zones, offering excellent settings for ecological study tours, photography sightseeing and hiking adventures; the Cross-Border Civilization Integration Tourism Route combines cross-border civilizational convergence, exploration of historical sites, diverse ethnic customs and border trade experiences; and the Ethnic Original-Ecology Corridor Tourism Route showcases along its length intangible cultural heritage such as the Dulong facial tattoos, the Wa wooden drum, the Dai peacock dance and the Jingpo Munao Zongge.

It was announced at the meeting that the alliance's 8th annual meeting will be held in Yunnan.
