During the event, the group visited scenic areas and sites such as Dujiangyan, Mount Qingcheng, the Leshan Giant Buddha, Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, viewing giant pandas up close, exploring ancient Shu culture, experiencing the scenery of the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea and learning about Zigong's well-salt culture and lantern landscapes; they took part in intangible cultural heritage experience programs such as Sichuan cuisine preparation, Shu brocade weaving and Tibetan incense making, watched distinctive Sichuan opera performances, and immersed themselves in the cultural richness of traditional Bashu culture; and they visited urban landmarks such as Eastern Suburb Memory, Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, experiencing on the ground the culture and tourism features that blend Sichuan's traditional culture with its modern urban landscape.
During the event, the group took part in the China–Azerbaijan and China–Uzbekistan tourism dialogue series of activities. In the thematic dialogue session, representatives of the Sichuan Provincial Travel Agency Association, the Inbound and Outbound Tourism Branch of the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association and inbound tourism enterprises in the province held pragmatic exchanges with the group on topics such as policy alignment and market expansion.
The event showcased Sichuan's rich, diverse and distinctive culture and tourism resources and enhanced the international visibility and influence of the “Splendid Tianfu · Leisurely Sichuan” culture and tourism brand. Building on the results of this exchange, Sichuan will continue to deepen culture and tourism exchanges and cooperation with countries in Europe and Asia, develop customized inbound tourism route products and continue to expand the inbound tourism source market.
