Seven departments including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism jointly issued a notice on promoting industrial culture, protecting industrial heritage and developing industrial tourism, with eight key tasks covering resource surveys, heritage protection, product supply, service quality, study tourism and safety.

Seven departments including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism jointly issued a notice on promoting industrial culture, protecting industrial heritage and developing industrial tourism.

The notice sets out eight key tasks, including strengthening surveys of industrial heritage resources, protecting industrial heritage, enriching industrial tourism products, improving service quality, giving play to study-tourism functions and strengthening safety.

It encourages localities to develop industrial heritage tours and “factory tours,” and travel agencies and online travel platforms to expand industrial-themed study tourism.
