Guizhou Releases Summer Cool-Weather Culture & Tourism Products
On June 5, Guizhou held a press conference and released full-chain summer cool-weather culture and tourism products across four areas.
On June 5, the Information Office of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government held a press conference on “Sojourn in Guizhou, a More Colorful Life” and “Cool-Weather Vacationing in Guizhou.” At the meeting, Guizhou launched full-chain summer cool-weather culture and tourism products focusing on four aspects: mountain and water sightseeing, performing arts and entertainment, outdoor sports, and sojourn and wellness.
It was introduced at the meeting that Guizhou has unique ecological resources and that its cool environment has become an advantage for developing cool-weather sojourning. In terms of mountain and water sightseeing, Guizhou has renewed and upgraded the “Huang Xiaoxi Chi Wanfan” quality touring route, allowing tourists, in addition to enjoying the mountain and water scenery, to immerse themselves in sporting events such as the “Village Super League” and “Village BA.” In terms of performing arts and entertainment, Guizhou plans to stage more than 60 large-scale performances during the summer vacation and to regularly hold roadside concerts, karst cave music weeks and the like. In terms of outdoor sports, the karst landforms have given rise to activities such as hiking and karst cave exploration and to popular destinations such as Shuanghe Cave and Zhijin Cave, meeting tourists' needs to enjoy water and cool off. In terms of sojourn and wellness, Guizhou has compiled a sojourn map and selected 26 urban sojourn projects and more than 140 representative rural sojourn projects. Tourists can either move into fully furnished housing in urban areas or lodge in pastoral villages, immersing themselves in a slow-paced intangible cultural heritage lifestyle.
It was also introduced at the meeting that Guizhou is currently systematically laying out its sojourn industry in five aspects. First, optimizing the business format layout, subdividing six sojourn categories such as urban and rural. Second, cultivating business entities, guiding real estate enterprises to transform from property development to “development + operation + service,” and encouraging property management companies to extend sojourn supporting services. Third, deepening project implementation, having already implemented a number of sojourn projects. Fourth, strengthening policy guarantees, revitalizing idle housing resources and existing land, renovating sojourn venues, and implementing the “Guiyin Sojourn Pass” special credit line. Fifth, promoting the brand across the whole area, carrying out multiple sojourn investment promotion events in key source cities, and building the “Sojourn in Guizhou, a More Colorful Life” sojourn brand.
