The 11th Chongqing Culture and Tourism Benefit-the-People Consumption Season (Summer) recently kicked off in Yongchuan District. This summer consumption season will run through August, striving to achieve district-wide coordination, city-wide discounts and sharing by all.
This summer consumption season expands the 'culture and tourism plus' integrated development path and creates immersive, all-people summer consumption scenarios. The main-venue activities in Yongchuan are full of highlights and suit the leisure needs of citizens and tourists of all ages. The launch ceremony is divided into three segments—an opening performance, culture and tourism promotion, and benefit-the-people experiences—with activities such as a beautiful opening dance, an immersive children's play, a soda music carnival and a themed parade held successively, and various mass cultural and artistic performances staged continuously. A limited-edition summer benefit bazaar brings together more than 100 merchants from across the city, displaying Chongqing-flavor specialty foods, Bayu intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, specialty agricultural products from various districts and counties, and trendy cultural and creative products, while also setting up special exhibitions on culture and tourism equipment, new business format integration and micro-vacations, vividly showcasing the results of Chongqing's cross-sector integrated culture and tourism development. The site also offers benefit activities such as stamp-collection lucky draws, folk custom experiences and fun interactions, letting citizens and tourists experience the unique charm of the mountain city in summer all in one place.
During the event, government and enterprises work together to release a massive amount of benefit dividends. Chongqing integrates travel and daily consumption resources from platforms such as Sinopec, Didi and Meituan, and injects culture and tourism special subsidies with a total value of 30 million yuan, with discounts covering the entire chain of self-driving, taxi rides, dining, accommodation and entertainment. A number of financial institutions such as ICBC, CCB, China Minsheng Bank and Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank also provide matching measures such as instant payment discounts and exclusive culture and tourism offers, with multiple benefits stacked to benefit citizens and tourists.
