Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet Hold 2026 Greater Shangri-La Culture & Tourism Alliance Meeting and Promotion

On July 28, the 2026 Greater Shangri-La Culture and Tourism Promotion Alliance joint meeting and promotion event were held in Panzhihua, with Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet approving the 2026-2027 work plan.

On July 28, the 2026 Joint Meeting and Promotion Activity of the Greater Shangri-La Culture and Tourism Promotion Alliance, co-hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Panzhihua Municipal People's Government, was held in the Dong District of Panzhihua City. The joint meeting reviewed and approved the "2026-2027 Work Plan of the Greater Shangri-La Culture and Tourism Promotion Alliance." The three provinces (autonomous regions) of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet will focus on brand publicity and promotion, product system optimization, and marketing activity expansion, and drive regional culture and tourism collaboration to a new stage of "joint brand-building, joint market expansion, and shared results."

The promotion activity was carried out at the same time. The three provinces (autonomous regions) of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet promoted Greater Shangri-La themed culture and tourism resources and premium routes, released preferential policies for scenic areas and accommodation, and the inaugural convoy set off at the same time. The event linked media from the three provinces (autonomous regions) of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet and conducted online livestreaming on multiple platforms, cumulatively publishing 163 reports, with 1.302 million livestream views and a total exposure of 6.85 million for related topics, allowing the broad masses of tourists to appreciate the unique charm of Greater Shangri-La through immersive and visualized communication methods.
