Altitude Alert： Jiuzhaigou sits at ~2，000-3，100m (6，500-10，000 ft). Huanglong is higher. If you get winded climbing stairs， take it slow and stay hydrated. Train Tickets： We arrange these for you， but during peak season (July-Oct)， book early or prepare for standing-room-only chaos. Packing List： Layers! Mountain weather is moody. Sunscreen， comfy shoes， phone charger， sense of adventure. Food： Sichuan cuisine is SPICY. If you can’t handle heat， learn the phrase “bú yào là” (“no spicy please”) (Pro tip： Even “no spicy” dishes may have a mild kick—it’s just how Sichuan rolls.
