Why This Tour Won’t Bore You to Tears Look, we get it. You want to see the Forbidden City without feeling like cattle in a herd. You want to climb the Great Wall without a guide screaming through a megaphone. You want real Beijing—the stuff your friends will actually care about when you get home. Here’s what makes this tour different: ✅ Small groups only (2-6 people max—because you didn’t fly halfway around the world to make awkward small talk with strangers) ✅ No shopping traps (we promise not to drag you to our “uncle’s silk factory”) ✅ Flexible schedule (want to sleep past 5am? Revolutionary concept, we know) ✅ English-speaking driver-guide (who won’t judge your chopstick skills) ✅ All the classics in 5 days—Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, and more Perfect for: First-timers who want the highlights, history nerds, Instagram enthusiasts, and anyone who’s ever wondered “Is the Great Wall actually great?” Spoiler: It is. Bring comfy shoes.

🧭 Itinerary

D1
Welcome to Beijing!
Airport pickup + hotel check-in. We'll be waiting with a pickup sign (probably more energetic than you after a long flight). Settle into your 4-star hotel—with real hot water, fancy, right? Tip: jet lag is real. Either nap smartly or suffer tomorrow.
D2
Imperial Super Day
Flag-raising ceremony → Tiananmen Square → Forbidden City → Shichahai → Temple of Heaven → Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. Morning: Flag-raising ceremony (optional—if you're an early bird or a "stamp-collecting" traveler who wants to check off everything). Yes, it's real. Yes, it's spectacular. Yes, we won't force you to get up at 4 a.m. Tiananmen Square. The world's largest city square. A perfect backdrop for "I'm in China!" selfies. Don't worry, everyone does it. Forbidden City—a royal drama with 9,999 rooms. The former residence of emperors who clearly had never heard of "decluttering." Fun fact: it's 6 times the size of Versailles, so take it easy. Commentary included—the stories here are worth hearing. Afternoon: Shichahai Scenic Area. Beijing's charming lakeside hutong district. Think narrow alleys, traditional courtyard houses, and locals treating chess like an Olympic sport. Take a deep breath. Now we're switching channels. Temple of Heaven. Emperors once prayed here for good harvests. Today, it's where tourists pray for WiFi and retirees practice tai chi. Architecture = stunning. Atmosphere = peaceful. Evening: Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (if open). Pay respects to Chairman Mao. No photos allowed (but the experience is definitely worth talking about).
🍽️ Breakfast included. Lunch/dinner at your own expense (we can recommend choices you won't regret).
D3
Gardens, Ruins & Bragging Rights
Summer Palace → Old Summer Palace → Tsinghua & Peking University (exterior) → Badachu Park. Morning: Summer Palace. Empress Dowager Cixi's vacation villa. Nothing else can quite compare. Highlights: the Long Corridor with 14,000 paintings (yes, fourteen thousand), Kunming Lake (great for boating selfies), and gardens that make your backyard look utterly shabby. Noon: Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan). Ruins with a story. Once a royal garden that stunned the world, now a solemn witness to the vicissitudes of history. It's a thought-provoking place. And the ruins are heartbreakingly beautiful. Afternoon: Tsinghua & Peking University (exterior). China's "Harvard + MIT." No, we can't get you into a class. Yes, the campuses are stunning. Yes, the souvenir shops count as "educational." Badachu Park ⛰️. Eight ancient temples hidden in the Western Hills. Peaceful, beautiful, and blessedly free of crowds. Perfect for pretending you're in a kung fu movie.
🍽️ Breakfast included
D4
The Great Wall (a.k.a. "Leg Day")
Badaling Great Wall → Olympic Park (Bird's Nest & Water Cube). Morning: Badaling Great Wall—the Great Wall that launched a million Instagram posts. The truth: it's steep. You will sweat. Your legs will betray you. But standing on a 2,000-year-old wonder of the world? Every sore muscle is worth it. There will be a briefing at the foot of the mountain first (we'll explain the best route so you don't accidentally walk 10 kilometers). Tip: wear real sneakers, bring water, don't try to be a hero—the cable car exists for a reason. Afternoon: Olympic Park. See the "Bird's Nest" (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) from the 2008 Olympics. They're still cooler than your city's stadium. Great for photos, nostalgia, and pretending you could totally win a gold medal.
🍽️ Breakfast included
D5
Goodbye, Beijing!
Hotel check-out → airport transfer. It's time to say goodbye (say "zaijian" if you've practiced). We'll get you to the airport on time with all your luggage and (hopefully) a basketful of good stories. Don't forget: Check your passport (important). Take one last photo of Beijing traffic (unimportant but funny). Start planning your next trip to China (inevitable).

📌 Booking Notes

Important Notes (The Fine Print, But Friendlier) About Guided Tours: INCLUDED guides: Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace (for seniors 60+, others depend on availability) NOT included: Other attractions and museums. At the Great Wall, we brief you at the base—you conquer it solo (we don’t do the climb, sorry not sorry). Universal Studios Beijing: Not included unless you specifically request it. We’re happy to arrange transport if you want to see Harry Potter’s Chinese cousin. Tsinghua/Peking University Campus Entry: Need to submit booking 8 days in advance. Yes, really. China’s top schools have tighter security than Beyoncé’s concerts. Hotel Details: All hotels are located along the 3rd Ring Road (convenient, not sketchy). Chain hotel breakfasts are usually “grab-and-go” style. Want a fancy buffet breakfast? Let us know—we’ll adjust pricing. Peak Season Booking Fees: We charge a small reservation fee during busy periods. If tickets sell out and we can’t secure entry, we’ll refund the full amount (including booking fee) OR swap in an alternative attraction. No tickets = no complaints accepted (we tried, okay?).
