Forbidden City

Also known as the Purple Forbidden City, it was the residence of more than twenty emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the majestic Three Great Halls aligned along its central axis and the inner court unfolding in layered courtyards.

Its collections number in the millions, and the Treasure Gallery, Clock Gallery and rotating painting exhibitions draw visitors year-round. Enter through the Meridian Gate and exit at the Gate of Divine Prowess, then climb Jingshan for a panoramic view.
