Discovered in 1974, the Terracotta Army pits accompany the mausoleum of Emperor Qinshihuang; thousands of clay figures, each with distinct features, stand in strict formation, recalling the might of the Qin army.
Pits One, Two and Three each differ, and bronze chariots show superb craftsmanship. Inscribed with the mausoleum as a World Heritage Site, it is Xi'an's signature attraction.
