Sanya sits at the southern tip of Hainan Island on the South China Sea and has a tropical marine monsoon climate, with high temperatures, little rain and plenty of sunshine all year. Sanya Phoenix International Airport connects to major domestic and international cities, and the city is easy to get around by bus, taxi or rental car. Plan four to five days, combining a beach holiday with rainforest and island trips, avoid the harsh midday sun and stay hydrated and protected from the sun.
