Chongqing Focuses on Training Minority-Language Culture & Tourism Talent
On June 7, the closing ceremony of the 2025-2026 Chongqing minority-language culture and tourism service talent training program was held in Liangjiang New Area.
On June 7, the graduation ceremony of the 2025–2026 Chongqing training class for culture and tourism service talent in less commonly taught languages was held in Liangjiang New Area.
The training focused on addressing shortcomings such as insufficient foreign-language service capacity for inbound tourism from Southeast Asia and a shortage of professional talent in Chongqing, cultivating composite talent with both foreign-language skills and culture and tourism literacy. The trainees included students majoring in less commonly taught languages and tourism management at universities as well as practitioners in the culture and tourism industry. The graduation ceremony innovatively adopted a format of linked performances, realizing “graduation as showcase, graduation as a debut of results.”
The training class was hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, began in late November 2025, and covered two parts: systematic theoretical study and on-site practical training at scenic areas. (Chen Qian)
