8 Departments Issue Measures to Accelerate 'AI + Consumption,' Including Culture & Tourism Steps
The MOHURD, MCT and others issued the Implementation Opinions on Accelerating 'AI + Consumption' Development, including steps such as developing AI + cultural tourism.
Build a launch platform for AI products. Support the debut and first exhibition of AI products, make good use of exhibition platforms such as the China International Import Expo, the China Import and Export Fair, the China International Consumer Products Expo and the Global Digital Trade Expo to showcase new AI products and services.
Develop AI plus culture and tourism. Promote AI empowerment of tourism and its deep integration with the entire chain, including itinerary planning, ticketing, tour guiding and hotel booking. Support culture and tourism consumption scenarios such as national 4A-level and above tourist attractions and national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters in creating AI plus real-scene experience projects. Guide tourist attractions to equip AI glasses, AI earphones and other smart products and provide services such as AI plus tour guiding. Actively advance AI empowerment of the cultural industry, encourage the use of AI technology to assist in the creation of drama, music, dance, fine arts and immersive experiences, and enrich the supply of high-quality cultural products.
Promote AI plus accommodation and dining. Accelerate the intelligent upgrading of the hotel industry and promote the application of hotel service robots, in-room voice control systems and self-service check-in equipment. Apply AI technology to make hotel check-in services more convenient for overseas visitors.
Promote AI plus wholesale and retail. Accelerate the development of smart retail and implement the retail industry innovation and upgrading project; in conjunction with the renovation and upgrading of old commercial streets and factory areas, promote the renovation of old commercial shopping centers and the intelligent upgrading of pedestrian-street business districts, and build smart stores and smart business districts.
Build 'AI plus consumption' cluster zones. Encourage innovation in new models such as the rental, sharing and trial use of AI products, focusing on public scenarios such as commercial complexes, pedestrian streets, scenic areas, museums and elderly care institutions, to promote commercial application and popularization.
Innovate application scenarios. Formulate guidelines for the development of 'AI plus consumption' application scenarios, establish an open list of applications in the 'AI plus consumption' field, and carry out the selection of typical 'AI plus consumption' cases. Build national AI application pilot-test bases in key industries of the consumption field and promote the large-scale, commercial application of high-value scenarios. Organize 'AI plus consumption' scenario matchmaking activities to promote the matching of supply and demand. Support innovation in agent applications. Encourage the innovative development of AI application scenarios through means such as financial leasing.
