Yalong Bay lies in Sanya at the southern tip of Hainan Island, about 250 km from Haikou and roughly 1.5 hours away by round-island high-speed rail. Its coastline is long, the sand fine and white and the water clear, making it a well-known tropical seaside resort area in Hainan.
Numerous resort hotels and water activities fill the bay, suited to swimming, snorkelling and a relaxed holiday. Nearby is Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, where you can climb for a bird's-eye view of the bay and take in the palms and blue sea at a glance.
