The Wuyi Mountains lie in Nanping, Fujian, and are a renowned World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. The scenic area is known for its Danxia landforms, with the Nine-Bend Stream winding among the peaks; a bamboo-raft ride downstream lets you take in the “three-three clear waters and six-six wondrous peaks.”
This is also the home of Dahongpao rock tea, where tea culture blends with natural scenery. Peaks such as Tianyou Peak and Dawang Peak can be climbed, and the site is best enjoyed over two or more days.
